Former midfielder Paul Merson has revealed that Chelsea are likely to have the strongest squad in the Premier League but does not see them as the champions this season.

As for Sunday’s game against Spurs, Merson said: “If you’re a football fan, the away game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is Chelsea’s biggest game of the season.”
“Chelsea lost here last season so it’s a big game. If they can beat Spurs it will be a big statement. I wouldn’t call Tottenham the ‘big boys’ of the league but they are a team that can beat a lot of teams and we’ve seen that this season.”
